Five Shot at Kentucky Concert; 4-Year-Old Wounded
The News
One person was killed and four others were shot at an outdoor concert in a downtown Lexington, Kentucky park on Saturday evening, police and Gov. Andy Beshear said.
Two of the wounded are children — a 4-year-old and a 14-year-old. The other two victims are adults.
The shooting happened around 6:45 p.m. at Charles Young Park, where a concert was under way, the Lexington Herald-Leader reported. No arrest had been announced as of late Saturday night.

Reactions
Beshear announced the shooting from the podium. "Before I continue, I do need to let y'all know we do have some tough news tonight," he said, according to the New York Post's account of the dinner.
"About a mile and a half from here, we've had a shooting actually since we started this dinner," the governor said. "We have five people that I think received injuries and probably have one deceased."
Lexington police chief Weathers appealed to the public at a press conference: "If you know somebody who might be inclined to use a weapon, please do anything you can do to let us know before something happens. Please let us know."
What's Next
Police have not named the person killed, released a suspect description, or said whether the shooting was targeted. The department said the investigation was still open as of Saturday night, with further details expected from Lexington police.

Accounts of the victims' conditions differ. The New York Post reported the four wounded were taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries; The Sun reported four people were left with life-threatening injuries. The Frank will update as police confirm.
The tally of Saturday's mass shootings also differs between outlets. The New York Post called Lexington the fourth mass shooting in 24 hours, citing earlier shootings in Michigan, Virginia and Chicago the same day. The Daily Mail called it the third.
