A foreign policy specialist in her own right, she was politically savvy, well versed in global issues and traveled widely with her husband on his diplomatic missions after their 1974 marriage, according to The New York Times and The Boston Globe.

Her death comes nearly three years after Henry Kissinger died in 2023.
