Trump Logged 1,051 Trades in June Filing

The News

President Trump made 1,051 securities transactions in June, according to a financial disclosure published Saturday by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics.

The trades — stocks, bonds and exchange-traded funds — totaled between $78.1 million and $263.1 million.

Purchases topped $49 million. Sales came to at least $28.5 million.

Timeline

June 18

Trump sold Meta and Motorola and bought Berkshire Hathaway, Cintas, Visa and Mastercard. The buying came one day after stocks sold off following the Federal Reserve's first meeting under Chairman Kevin Warsh.

June 22

The largest single transaction in the filing: a sale of Vanguard Dividend Appreciation ETF shares valued between $5 million and $25 million.

Across June

Trump bought and sold Palantir, RTX, Northrop Grumman and Coinbase multiple times during the month.

Reactions

The White House did not respond to a request for comment on the June disclosure.

Spokesman Davis Ingle said in May that Trump's assets are held in a trust run by his children and that there are no conflicts of interest.

Critics of the arrangement argue that a president whose decisions move markets cannot hold individual securities without a conflict, even through a family-managed trust. That is the core of the dispute in the coverage — not the legality of the filing, which discloses what the rules require.

What's Next

Nothing in the filing requires further action by Trump. The disclosure system is periodic: transactions above $1,000 must be reported, and the next filings will show whether the June reshuffling continued through the summer.

The open questions for Congress and ethics watchdogs are whether the trades precede or follow the policy decisions and market events they track, and who inside the family trust makes the individual calls.

More

The filing has real limits. It reports trades made on Trump's behalf in ranges, not exact amounts, and it does not show his total holdings. Only transactions over $1,000 have to be disclosed at all.

The June activity is not an outlier. Trump has made more than 21,000 securities trades in 2025, frequently in clusters around market-moving events he set in motion.
