Lamb Tells Fetterman to Quit as Democrats Revolt

Former Rep. Conor Lamb publicly told Sen. John Fetterman to resign this week, the sharpest demand yet in a Pennsylvania Democratic backlash to a Wall Street Journal report on the senator skipping constituent meetings and committee work.

"If there is a decent bone left in your body, just quit," Lamb wrote on X, according to MS NOW. "It's an insult to decent people in our state for you to treat them and the office this way."

Lamb is the only prominent Pennsylvania Democrat quoted in the coverage calling outright for Fetterman to leave office. Three others — Rep. Brendan Boyle, Rep. Chris Deluzio and DNC Vice Chair Malcolm Kenyatta — attacked him in blunt terms but aimed at the 2028 primary instead of resignation.

MS NOW reported that "some Democrats in the state are demanding he resign from office, or are rallying voters to oust him in 2028." None of the reports reviewed by The Frank included a response from Fetterman to Lamb's call.

Who Said What

Conor Lamb, former congressman, who lost the 2022 Democratic Senate primary to Fetterman: told him to "just quit." Lamb has since filled the gap Fetterman left at town halls and rallies across the state, MS NOW reported.

Rep. Brendan Boyle (D-Pa.): "John Fetterman is a disgrace. Our state deserves better than a lazy trust fund baby who is too lazy to do the job." Fetterman has said his parents supported him financially into his forties.

Rep. Chris Deluzio (D-Pa.): "Between the laziness, disrespect, and willingness to carry water for a foreign government, it shows us something we already know: this man has no sense of duty. He is not up for the high office he was elected to — and we in Pennsylvania will do something about it in 2028."

Malcolm Kenyatta, DNC vice chair and Pennsylvania state representative, to NewsNation: Fetterman "is somebody who has spent the past few years not doing his job. He is a part-time senator, full-time commentator on Fox News." In a separate Friday statement he said "2028 can't come soon enough."
